Life at The Lakeshore
When you know. . .
It’s twilight on a Friday evening, and you’ve made it home to The Lakeshore after a full day’s grind at the office; you walk to a small, open-air lakeside bistro near the promenade, in time to snag one of the tables overlooking the water. Your steak dinner ordered, you pop a bottle of wine and pour generously into a chilled glass, stretch your legs and watch the sun dip slowly into the lake’s crimson waters. . .
Framed by the majestic visage of Mount Arayat in the north, the lake views can take in sunrises as well as sunsets – especially from the lighthouse at the North Park. You’re never more than a few hundred meters from the water.
Life at the lakeside is laid back – leisurely strolls or bike rides to the lake and malls, boating or biking, buying fresh produce at the farmers’ market and cooking it for dinner, maybe even catching the fish from the lake.
The whole Lakeshore community, defined by a sprawling border that embraces all of 300 hectares, is in the town of Mexico which directly adjoins the City of San Fernando. It is so uniquely different an experience that promises to revolutionize community living within and beyond its environs. It also issues a different kind of invitation.
A generous chunk of its land is beautifully enhanced open space, a rarity in today’s cramped and harassed towns – a place of windblown trees, lush parks and breathtaking lakeside vistas, much of it open to the public for picnicking, boating, fishing and walking. A meandering jogging path winds lazily around the lake, and takes adventurous and sporty types to the various lakeside promenades, parks, docks and playgrounds.
Buying In
Residential lots and homes in the estate are surprisingly affordable. Lots ranging from 125 square meters upwards are currently priced at Peso 6,600 per square meter. Beautifully designed Italian-Mediterranean houses sell for a modest base price of Php 1,702,500.
Getting There
The Lakeshore is about 8 kilometers north of San Fernando. Take the North Luzon Expressway Exit near SM Shoemart and in 5 leisurely minutes, drift right and cruise through the new Lakeshore/Mexico toll entry-exit. Pay an affordable price at the tollbooth. Follow the boulevard which leads directly to the heart of The Lakeshore community.
From Balintawak is a 35 minutes drive depending on traffic. Upon reaching The Lakeshore Petron Toll Service Facility about km 71 of NLEX you will find various restaurants like McDonald's, Kitaro, Mocha Blends, Razon's, Mangan Tana!. One could also find More Than a Chair-a furniture outlet showroom. The North Luzon Expressway Expansion Project further enhances the traveling experience with its wider roads and convenient exits and interchanges throughout. Lakeshore residents directly benefits from a nearby interchange that links the community directly to the southbound lane. So much progress in surprisingly little time.
. . . You’ve arrived.
The red blaze of twilight turns to purple and the first star hovers over the horizon. Savoring the breeze and admiring the changing light reflected on the lake, you tell yourself: life in a place like this is why it’s worth it to get up at dawn from Monday to Friday. Proudly, you congratulate yourself for making a great investment you can actually live in.
