The Lakeshore Tent
On a clear day along the
NLEX, it spreads its graceful pristine white form against an azure
sky, a gigantic lakeside bird poised to take flight; soaring 60 feet
at its highest point, it is an architectural landmark that is hard to
miss. Heads up for The Lakeshore Tent.
The Lakeshore Tent
harkens to the extravagant 1920’s when the most colorful social
events were held in specially commissioned outdoor tents, The
Lakeshore Tent experience is tremendously magnified with this
leviathan structure’s space age amenities. Canvas has given way to
Teflon which covers an area of 1600 square meters. An array of
massive airconditioners create a cool microclimate that will
cocoon guests in luxurious comfort.
Theater-style seating can easily
fit in an audience of 1,500 while an elegant dinner set-up can
accommodate 1,000 guests. The Tent’s asymmetrical structure and
non-reverberating membrane is acoustically perfect for concerts and
other musical events.
World-renown classical and jazz pianist David
Osborne was generous in his praise of The Tent, calling it
“comparable to tented venues in Las Vegas.” In the daytime, light
is filtered beautifully by the diaphanous white Teflon fabric, making
it a giant light dome. At night, a creative lighting set-up magically
transforms the venue into a kaleidoscope of pulsating colors, like an
indoor Aurora Borealis display.
Parking is a breeze: 200
cars can easily fit in the adjacent car park.
The Lakeshore Tent is
also a perfect venue for exhibits, fairs, conventions, concerts and
fashion shows.
