HLURB Confers Best Development Design for Lakeshore Villages

The Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) has chosen the Venice and Eastlake Villages of The Lakeshore, located on Km. 71 North Luzon Expressway, Mexico, Pampanga as Special Awardee for Best Development Design ander PD 957 for CY 2007 along with Ayala Westgrove Heights. The villages were selected based on innovation, environment-friendliness, quality, accessibility, saleability and completeness of development.

The awarding ceremony was held on May 24, 2007 during 31 st Anniversary of the HLURB at the Rembrandt Hotel in Quezon City. Vice President Noli de Castro and HLURB Chief Executive Officer and Commissioner Romulo Quirino M. Fabul presented the award. This is the second citation received this year by Central Country Estate, Inc. (CCEI), owner and developer of The Lakeshore Estate, the other one being the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA) Developer of the Year award. CCEI president and CEO Architect Nestor Mangio said, “We are humbled by this honor. The recognition of our projects by institutions such as CREBA and now the HLURB validates the research studies, time and efforts we have invested in the development of the estate. Our company has always been in constant pursuit of excellence in all our developments.” Mangio appreciates the fact that several real estate developers are now investing in Pampanga which may partly be attributed to the success of The Lakeshore. “The emergence of the other projects has a positive impact on the economy of Pampanga and Central Luzon, and the company is pleased to have had such an effect,” Mangio added.

Just recently, HLURB has issued its final decision absolving and clearing CCEI/The Lakeshore from any liability in connection with several letters of complaint filed by a certain Luisito Hipolito and his counsel, Atty. Nicholas Aquino. The two were even fined and cited for forum-shopping. This agency headed by no less than Vice President Noli De Castro is now recognizing the development and achievement of CCEI and The Lakeshore.

CCEI’s foremost and world-renowned project is The Lakeshore Estate, where Venice and Eastlake are located. It is a self-contained community developed as a residential, recreational, and commercial facility, with waterfront ambiance and resort amenities at standards comparable with the best in the world. The houses are cozy Italian-Mediterranean-inspired villas supported by amenities that provide its residents with an exceptional lifestyle.
